Every island, including Roatan, Honduras have many vendors that can help locally with your wedding. Shop local for your destination wedding, as a result this will save you time and money.
Your Wedding planner will have a list of preferred vendors, but here is a list of things that you can avoid bringing with you. Instead have it here waiting for your arrival and inspection.
When working with local vendors, ensure you stay in touch, through social media, email or WhatsApp, get pictures of your requested items. Pay your deposit first, and final payment when you are happy with what you’ve received and it matches what you ordered.

By working directly with the individual vendors it keeps money in the local economy and saves your money on shipping, or bringing it with you. It also adds more of the destination flair to the wedding. You would do similar things if you were to host your wedding in a local venue vs a destination venue.
Help the local Economy
There are many local small business here on the island both local people and those that have relocated to live on the island. There is a Facebook group Buy Local / Support Roatan, if Roatan happens to be the place of your destination wedding. I am sure similar pages can be found for other locations.
