Social Media has added a new dimension to weddings! Couples are now creating a hashtag for their upcoming wedding and share with all so that it can used on social media and everyone can see what’s being posted, and pictures.
Your wedding hashtag doesn’t have to be insanely witty. Look for a simple hashtag idea that’s functional and to the point?
Each hashtag created by couples for their weddings, is a way for all to see all the social media posts, including pictures and checkin’s, it keeps all the social media activities connected, with a simple search of the hashtag.
How do you come up with a hashtag?
- Brainstorming with your partner, write down all the ideas you can think of
- Use your names, first, last, middle to get some ideas
- Include the date of your wedding, if you find your names are already in use
- Have fun, make it unique, witty, sarcastic, entertaining.
- Ask your friends and relative for feedback or suggestions
- Capitalize the letters of your name to make it stand out
- Make sure you don’t misspell anything unless it’s on purpose
- Double check the hashtag you choose to make sure it’s not being used
- Spread the word, once it’s finalized and have a sign at the event, to remind guests to use it.
