Unplugged Wedding – the choice is yours?

Would you like to have an unplugged wedding – the choice is yours. Yeah… Or nah…?

The key part is having a n Unplugged Wedding   – the choice is yours? You just need to communicate it! Friends and family will respect your wishes and unplug their phones and put away their cameras, or take photos and not share them. It’s your choice as to how this is handled.

There are benefits to both sides of an Unplugged Wedding or a Plugged Wedding and negatives for both sides.

Having photos posted of your big day is something you might want to be in control of, you may want to know the photos being posted are of your choice not someone else’s.

An unplugged wedding, is telling people not to take pictures, to leave their phones off during the wedding and out of site, some people even ask for phones to be placed in a basket at the door.

But keep in mind you won’t find photos on social media before your ready to share them, when you ask people not to share.

Also, be sure to discuss the timeline of when your photographer will have your photos ready by and make arrangements to have an online portal or file sharing process for your guests that doesn’t compromise your photographer’s copyright.

Give guests and opportunity to take a photo home with them, by using a photo booth, it can be a lot of fun.

Limit your guests to when then can take photo and be sure to let them know. Also advise them how and if you want anything shared on social media, outline your expectations so your guests are aware.
