Everyone wants a healthy and natural wedding day glow. Here are some tips on how to prep your skin to be its best for your destination wedding:

  • Boost your skin’s natural sun protection by eating more beta-carotene-rich foods. Foods such as carrots, sweet potatoes, chard, fennel, and endive are high in beta-carotene. You should also boost your consumption of vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, and lycopene by eating more things like salmon, almonds, cooked tomatoes, broccoli, pink grapefruit, and while grains.
  • Regular exfoliation is important to clear away dirt and grime that can cause breakouts. It is also important to exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells and make way for even tanning. Don’t use harsh chemical exfoliators that could happen your skin more than help it!
  • Keep hydrated both inside and out! Make sure you are, of course, drinking enough water (double if you’re enjoying cocktails). Your skin will likely also appreciate a rich cream to add extra moisture before visiting, but be sure to pack a lightweight moisturizer that won’t clog your pores while you’re here.
